Four Winds * Westward Ho is a traditional summer camp for boys and girls ages 7 to 18 on Orcas Island in Washington State’s San Juan Islands. With over a hundred acres of woods, fields and waterfront, the camp is well situated for an impressive variety of programs and activities designed to develop skills and confidence through adventure in the out-of-doors.

Since 1927, Four Winds has been a haven for young people to experience the joys and freedom of summer, embrace camp values and traditions, and be supported by a skilled and dedicated staff. Perhaps what is different about this island camp is not so much the range of activities offered, but that people accept each other unconditionally, for their sameness as well as their differences. There have been four generations of campers at Four Winds Westward Ho. More than one of those campers has said: Camp is the one place where I always felt I could be myself.

Over eighty years of creative thinking in a vital summer camp environment has made Four Winds Westward Ho a unique combination of tradition and responsiveness to the needs and aspirations of today’s youth.
